Breck, Bugwine. Bugwine Breck was created by Arthur K. Akers and appeared in sixty-three stories in Blue Book Magazine from 1929 to 1937, beginning with “Good Night, Money!” (Blue Book Magazine, Dec. 1929).
The Bugwine Breck stories are “humorous” stories, told in racist dialect, about a racist stereotype of an African-American detective, “Bugwine Breck the human bloodhound.”
