Boscobell, Geoffrey. Geoffrey Boscobell was created by Cecil M. Wills (Roger Ellerdine) and appeared in thirteen novels from 1934 to 1950, beginning with Author in Distress.
Geoffrey Boscobell had been an Inspector with Scotland Yard, but after his wife and son disappeared he resigned from the police for fear that a gang he was pursuing had targeted his family. He went into private practice as a detective so that he could operate without the restrictions which the police face. He is boyish and pleasant, but shrewd.
