Bonner, Dol. Dol Bonner was created by Rex Stout (Tecumseh Fox, Nero Wolfe) and appeared in The Hand in the Glove (1937), Three for the Chair (1956), and Plot it Yourself (1959).

Theodolinda "Dol" Bonner is a young socialite whose family was bankrupted in the Depression. Bonner forms the detective agency Bonner and Raffray, Inc., in Los Angeles. She is a tough, attractive woman with little time for men. Years ago she had a love affair which went quite wrong–her fiancé dumped her after her father was bankrupted by the Stock Market crash. She occasionally helps Tecumseh Fox and Nero Wolfe on their cases and is herself helped by Sylvia Raffray, an heiress who aids Bonner financially and as a (somewhat critical) friend.
