Bomba (II). Bomba (II) appeared in a number of stories in The Rover in 1938 and 1939.

Bomba (II) is a Zulu warrior modeled on Umslopogaas (see: Allan Quatermain). He is a mighty warrior but for some unfathomable reason submits to being the sidekick and “chum” of Chic Barton, a British boy. The two have a series of adventures in the jungles and veldt of west and southwest Africa. Bomba is aided by Umbopos, his great axe.
