Bock, Hepsibah. Hepsibah Bock was created by the Czech author Eduard Fiker (Black Lightning, Ted Brent, Inspector Cadek) and appeared in seven stories in various Czech newspapers in 1938; they were collected in the book Dobrodruzství Hepsibaha Bocka, detektiva bez logiky (1938).
Hepsibah Bock is a Great Detective. He is active in London and around England, and is consulted by Sir Trevor Bigham of Scotland Yard on those cases which cannot be solved by ordinary investigative methods. Bock, you see, is the “detective without logic,” and solves cases on instinct and hunches and luck alone.
