Blue Pete. Blue Pete was created by “Luke Allan,” the pseudonym of the Canadian author William Lacey Amy (Tiger Lillie), and appeared in a number of stories and twenty novels from 1920 to 1954, beginning with Blue Pete, Half-Breed.

Blue Pete lives on the Canadian frontier during the last quarter of the 19th century. Half-native, half-Anglo, Pete was formerly a cattle rustler, but reformed and joins the North-West Mounted Patrol as a “rustler-buster.” Blue Pete works undercover for the Mounties in Saskatchewan and Alberta, helping Inspector Barker and Sergeant Mahon of the Mounties to apprehend cattle rustlers, criminal foreigners, and native murderers. Blue Pete’s horse is Whiskers.
