Black Cheetah. The Black Cheetah was created by Cecil Fanshaw (Captain Moonlight, Husky King) and appeared in the serial “Black Cheetah” (Triumph , Jan. 28-Apr 1? 1933); the stories were collected in Black Cheetah (1935).

Black Cheetah is a young Zulu warrior and “kinsman of the powerful Zulu king” whose entire family is slaughtered by the forces of Tara, the “Zulu Napoleon,” at the urging of Tara’s witch doctor. Black Cheetah is forced to flee and fight a long, bloody, merciless battle against the wilderness, the animals in it, and of course the warriors of Tara, especially his personal bodyguard, the evil Wasps.
