Bjelke, Ove. Ove Bjelke was created by the Norwegian author Jonas Lie and appeared in five stories in the early 1900s.

Ove Bjelke is a Great Detective modeled on Edgar Allan Poe’s C. Auguste Dupin. Bjelke is a Norwegian police detective active in Norway. The Bjelke novels have distinct overtones of mysticism in them, and Bjelke himself believes that there are cases in which murder is justified and a moral act.
