Bennett, Jim. Jim Bennett was created by “Robert Martin,” the pseudonym of Lee Roberts, and appeared in twenty-one short stories and fourteen novels from 1945 to 1964, beginning with “G.I. Doublecross” (Dime Detective, Mar. 1945).

Jim Bennett is a private detective operating in Cleveland, Ohio. Unusually for the pulps, Bennett is happily married; his wife is Sandy, who used to be his secretary.
