Bendilow, Edmund. Edmund Bendilow was created by Carlton Wallace and appeared in five novels from 1933 to 1938, beginning with Mister Death Walks Abroad.

Edmund Bendilow is a Superintendent for Scotland Yard. He is in his mid-fifties, having worked as a policeman for thirty-three years, and is active and observant, with mahogany-colored skin. He deals with somewhat more fantastic criminals than usual for his ilk, like the blackmailing "Mister Death," and even fakes his own death once.
