Barrac, Daniel. Daniel Barrac was created by the Chilean author Jacobo Nazaré and appeared in Cien Mil Palabras (1939).
Daniel Barrac is an idealistic Chilean college student, full of the desire to spread Marxism, but equally full of the desire to have sex with as many women as possible. Barrac becomes friends with the roguish adventurer Orellana and helps him with his smuggling operation, and then becomes a newspaper reporter, and then becomes an amateur detective.
