Barrabas. Barrabas was created by the French director Louis Feuillade (Judex, Irma Vep) and the French writer Maurice Level and appeared in the film serial Barrabas (1919).

Barrabas is the mysterious and sinister head of an international association of criminals whose members sport the tattoo “B.R.A.S.” Barrabas is funded and fronted by the sadistic banker Rudolph Strelitz. Opposing Barrabas and Strelitz are the lawyer Jacques Varese and the journalist Raoul de Nerac. Violence and adventure ensue.
