Arrighi, Gino. Gino Arrighi was created by the Italian author Alessandro Varaldo (Ascanio Bonichi) and appeared in three novels and short story collections from 1931 to 1944, beginning with Le Scarpette Rosse.

Gino Arrighi is a gentlemanly, refined police detective active in Rome. Arrighi uses a blend of modern science, common sense, and youthful energy to solve crimes. He is boyishly handsome but dresses modestly and is often mistaken for a public servant.
