Armitage, James. James Armitage was created by Franklyn Kelsey and appeared in Island in the Mist (1937), Children of the Sun (1939), and Prowlers of the Deep (1942).

Explorer and adventurer James Armitage and his two sons have a remarkable run of discoveries. They discover the Island in the Mist, an island in the southern Indian Ocean, near Antarctica, which is inhabited by the white survivors of Mu, who have been there for more than 20,000 years. They discover a Lost Race of Inca in the Matto Grosso. And they discover a race of intelligent cat-like humanoids.
