Angrad. Angrad was created by the Indian director K.P. Bhave and appeared in the film Shah-E-Jungle (1926).

Angrad is a Jungle Hero modeled upon Tarzan (I). Centuries ago, the queen of the mermaids and one of her mermen subjects quarrel over who is the most perfect human specimen: Angrad, the King of the Forest, or Mimuni, the Princess of Misr. The queen brings together Angrad and Mimuni, who fall in love at first sight, and then sends them home, to their sadness. Angrad and Mimuni have various adventures before they are together and Angrad is revealed to be the lost heir of Misr.
