Ang Manananggal. In Filipino folklore the Ang Manananggal is a vampiric flying head. In 1927 the Filipino author Jose Nepomuceno’s Ang Manananggal describes how a band of Filipino witches turn into Ang Manananggals and prey on innocent civilians.
