Acton, Kit. Kit Acton was created by Marion Bramhall and appeared in five novels from 1944 to 1949, beginning with Button, Button.
Kit Acton is an amateur detective active on Cape Cod, in Boston, and later in Michigan. She begins as a nineteen-year-old living with her widowed father and later marries a suspect, Richard, whose innocence she proves. He is a college professor, and he and she solve crimes as amateurs.
