Achison, Heywood. Heywood Achison was created by Mrs. Woodrow Wilson and appeared in seven stories in The Red Book Magazine and The Detective Magazine from 1920 to 1921, beginning with “Counsel for the Defense” (The Red Book Magazine, Nov. 1920).

Heywood Achison is a defense attorney and “society criminal” (read: Lupin) who is fruitlessly pursued by the amateur detective Ramsey. Achison is sardonic, glib, and dangerous.
