Red Blazer. When Dr. Morgan returns from Mars to give the benefits of his scientific and engineering discoveries to humanity, he’s discouraged by the amount of war and crime he finds. But one man, Jack Dawson, a cowboy, meets with Morgan’s approval, and Morgan secretly gives Dawson a special formula, which when combined with “astro-pyro-rays” advance Dawson’s “evolutionary stage a few pegs...in other words I’m a perfect man...!!” Dawson gains the ability to control heat and fire, throw lightning and fire bolts, and to fly. Dawson becomes the crime-fighting Red Blazer, based out of Dr. Morgan’s space cruiser in the Sierra Mountains. They fight ordinary criminals and Mad Scientists like Dr. Skull. The Red Blazer appears in stories with titles like “Dr. Skull and the Thieving Orphans.”
