Hunter, Larry. Larry Hunter, "young psychology professor and expert on the human brain," gets lost driving one rainy night and ends up in the house of the Mad Scientist Dr. Z, who forces Hunter to work on a thought receiver. Hunter and Mary Brown, another prisoner of Dr. Z, escape, and Hunter uses the thought-receiver to fight crime.
