King Vito. In the year 1940 the “ancient kingdom of Verdina” is overwhelmed by the “armies of power-mad dictators” sweeping across Europe. Verdina’s king Vito is told by his elderly advisor Nerim about how to escape: they go to Nerim’s globular castle and rocket into space. On arriving on the moon, they establish an empire there and win the sympathies of the lunar natives.
