Lannings, Happy. In his lone appearance Happy Lannings, “of the air patrol,” is cruising over “the hills of the western mining country" when he discovers a girl being chased by bad men. On investigating, he discovers that a “group of ruffians led by a city gangster” want the girl’s map, which leads to gold treasure. Lannings uses guns and his fists to ensure a happy ending for the girl.
