Hazard, Hap. Hap Hazard is the copy boy for the Daily Star and in that role has a variety of exciting adventures, usually involving crimes he uncovers and criminals he apprehends, like criminals dressing up as police and robbing banks, or the syndicate known as “Arson, Inc.” Hazard is young, but hard-boiled, and will quickly tell crooks “Quit maulin’ me, ya lug!” He appears in stories with titles like “Lippy Larue and his Gang,” “Mad Dog Killers on Trial Today,” and “The Daily Star Scrap Drive.”
