Crime Crusader. Jonathan Jones, the Crime Crusader is, in his own words, “the best darned investigator in New York,” but times are tough, and sometimes he has to let his sidekick, Kewpie O’Toole, go. But O’Toole is clever enough to rustle up cases for Jones, and Jones is wry and hard-boiled enough to solve them, even with police resistance. He appears in stories with titles like "The Mystery of the Modern Midas."
