Calamity Jane. “Calamity Jane” Janis is a private investigator known as the “female Sherlock.” She’s Watsoned by her taxi driver Hack. She is wry, hard-boiled, fast-talking, and good with her hands as well as a clever and knowledgeable crime-solver. She appears in stories with titles like “The Case of the Hapless Hackie,” “The Fat Tuesday,” and “The Man Who Met Himself.”
