Billy the Kid. Billy the Kid is the "fearless Robin Hood of the Range-Lands," a wandering goat vigilante in the Old West of Funny Animal Land. He is assisted by Oscar the Ostrich, publisher of the local paper, and the quick wire-men of Western Onion. He appears in stories with titles like "The Conceited Highwayman," "The Nail and Hammer Meet," and "Percival the Prairie Poet."
