Alias X. X is a “modern Robin Hood” who helps the police in capturing gangsters. He is a taxi driver who is framed for murder. He escapes from jail and masters disguise as a way to keep himself from being arrested, and then uses it to continue fighting crime until he can find those responsible for framing him. When he captures criminals he leaves behind a card reading “With compliments, Alias X.” His opponents include ordinary criminals, the saboteurs known as the Three Little Devils, U-boat raiders, and Mad Scientists and their reanimated mummy assassins.  Alias X appears in stories with titles like “Circus of Death” and “Lesson in Silence.”
